Old Master copy: head
From an Old Master
Again, I forget which. It was in a book of drawings.
Feather duster
I wanted to try something with a different texture, but I didn’t plan it very well because I ran out of space. I’ve stopped planning the drawings -marking angles, length and width – to save time.
It’s important to keep a sense of tone here, to have darks and lights. The feathers could easily have ended up a mush of mid-tone. Perhaps they already have.
Copied from an Old Master
I forget the artist – it was from one of their sketches. I just wanted to learn how they drew foliage.
Air blower
A really poor drawing. I completely misjudged the angle of the nozzle, and didn’t draw ellipses as a basis for the nozzle attachment.
Salt and pepper pots
Tweezers
This is a bit scruffy. I’m trying to be comfortable with that and not be a perfectionist, but I prefer clean lines!
